Riverlands Property Group is a locally owned and operated company based in Geismar, Louisiana, near the intersection of Highway 73 and Highway 42. We are proud to serve our community by providing top-notch flood remediation services. As a company rooted in Geismar, we understand the unique challenges that come with living in a city prone to flooding, particularly in areas near the Mississippi River Delta and the Atchafalaya Basin. Our team is dedicated to helping homeowners and businesses recover from flood damage, and we take pride in our ability to navigate the complexities of Louisiana's environmental regulations.

Geismar's Unique Weather Conditions and the Need for Flood Remediation

Geismar's location in the Gulf Coast region makes it susceptible to extreme weather conditions, including hurricanes, storm surges, and heavy rainfall. The city's low elevation and proximity to the Mississippi River Delta also increase the risk of flooding. These conditions can lead to Category 3 (Black Water) contamination, secondary mold blooms, and structural rot in pier-and-beam foundations and crawlspaces. At Riverlands Property Group, we understand the importance of addressing these issues promptly and effectively. Our team is equipped with the latest technology and techniques, including Psychrometric drying logs, HEPA-filtered negative air scrubbing, and Structural Cavity Drying, to ensure that your property is restored to its original condition.

The high humidity levels in Geismar, often exceeding 90%, can accelerate microbial VOC (mVOC) production, leading to the degradation of antimicrobial coatings. Our team is trained to identify and address these issues, using thermal hygrometers to monitor the moisture levels in your property. We also conduct Wood-Destroying Insect (WDI) impact assessments, specifically Formosan termite vulnerability, to ensure that your property is protected from further damage.
